My name is (SSG) Michael Montgomery (Retired), founder and CEO of Eagle Outreach Ministries. In 2001, God gave me a vision to build a 24-hour community center in the neighborhood in which I grew up. Seven years to date, I am now executing this vision. On March of 2009, I was medically discharged from the United States Army due to the injuries received while in Iraq. Stationed at Fort Knox, KY for 15 months, I received further vision from God to be a Blessing to my fellow comrades who are also stationed at Fort Knox, injured, depressed, separated from families, and in need of help. After surviving Iraq, from being suicidal, and even being delivered from a four month depression stage filled with anxiety, I now see the need for more community involvement and believe that I can make a major impact. Along with my beautiful wife Tamika, who is an entrepreneur herself (Independent Business Consultant for Elite Consultant Solutions, LLC.), we will accomplish this task together. We decided that we were not going to let our children grow up in a generation that has little direction or opportunities. As we look at society and the increasing crime rate, illiteracy, poverty, and yes, even the path of our government, we can surely say that we are not heading in a positive direction. Our homes are being broken and destroyed, our men are not being men and many don't realize who or what they are. Our young ladies are lost and we as a generation have put God last. This is the reason behind our ministry, for we are nothing more than laborers in the vineyard. This is our vision. Share it with us.
